Romelu Lukaku believes a ‘voodoo’ nearly forced him to move to Chelsea

Romelu Lukaku had a decision to the make in the summer.

Well, as we all know, Lukaku opted for the latter, making a whopping £75m move from Everton.

But that was apparently disobeying orders.

And not just any orders… the orders of a ‘voodoo’.

That’s according to Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri, who revealed an astonishing story at the club’s AGM sit down on Tuesday evening.

Moshiri believes Lukaku didn’t sign a new contract with the Toffees in the summer because a ‘voodoo’ had told him he had to move to Chelsea:

Just to clarify what Moshiri said on Lukaku. Lukaku was in the contract meeting and called his mother to tell her he had had "a voodoo and he got the message that he needs to go to Chelsea."

Well now we’ve heard everything.

Lukaku, if the wacky reports have any credibility, is a brave man then for ignoring the wishes of the witch doctor.

But the bruising Belgian striker’s decision has reaped rewards, scoring 15 goals in all competitions as United’s main man upfront.

If he is struck down by poor form, at least Manchester United fans can point to a ‘curse’ conspiracy to explain why…
